The Paris Opera in French Guiana is a territorial cultural cooperation program launched in November 2022, aiming to make the Paris Opera's missions accessible to all Guyanese people. This documentary series retraces the creation of this program, from the inaugural show in Cayenne to the dance workshops led by the Paris Opera artists in partnership with various collaborators in Cayenne, Kourou, and Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni. Episode 4 – En voix For the first time, Paris Opera Etoiles, dancers and opera singers will be gathering on the Three Rivers stage in Cayenne. "The Paris Opera in French Guiana" continues with opera vocal workshops at the Conservatoire de Musique, Danse et Théâtre in French Guiana for those who wish to discover their voice. Episode 3 – Everyone's a Dancer From Cayenne to Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, passing through Kourou, the Ballet company's dancers meet students with diverse stories and backgrounds who share a common passion: dance! Episode 2 – The Encounter Following the performance, the first classical dance workshops begin with Étoile dancers Stéphane Bullion and Muriel Zusperreguy, along with contemporary dance workshops with dancers Takeru Coste and Marion Gautier de Charnacé. Episode 1 – The Arrival In November 2022, the Paris Opera in French Guiana was inaugurated with a dance performance featuring Étoile and corps de ballet dancers at the Trois Fleuves hall in Cayenne. 2005 : Promoted to "Première danseuse".2006 : Receives the Leonide Massine award (Positano/Italie) and the Ballet 2000 award (Cannes).

2022 : Receives the le Best choreographic performer award from the Syndicat professionnel de la Critique Théâtre, Musique et Danse.

Dorothée Gilbert is made an "Étoile" on November 19th 2007, following a performance of The Nutcracker (Nureyev) in which she dances the role of Clara for the first time.

As part of the Paris Opera Ballet's official tours, Dorothée Gilbert has performed in Australia (Brisbane), the United States (San Francisco, Los Angeles), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasilia), China (Beijing, Shanghai), Russia (Moscow, Novosibirsk), Japan and elsewhere. (Tokyo), Spain (Madrid) and the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi).Dorothée Gilbert was named Chevalier de l’ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

In residency at the Paris Opera Academy from 2019 to 2021

Born in Normandy, France, Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur has been working since 2014 with soprano Maryse Castets at the Bordeaux Conservatory where she obtained her Singing Diploma after graduating from Sciences Po Bordeaux. She is the winner of the Bordeaux Médoc Lyrical Competition 2018. She then went on to study at the Paris Opera Academy, where she received the AROP Prize and the Cercle Carpeaux Prize. She took part in the Young Singers Project at the Salzburg Festival where she sang the Second Lady in Cherubini's Medea with the Wiener Philharmoniker, and performed in recital with the Mozarteum Orchestra. She sang the roles of the Mother, the Chinese Cup and the Dragonfly in Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges at the Paris Opera, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Lucretia in Britten's The Rape of Lucretia at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord. A member of the Nouvelle Troupe Favart of the Opéra Comique, she is the winner of the 2020 Menda Grant. Recent highlights include L'Enfant et les sortilèges (the Mother, the Chinese Cup and the Dragonfly) at the Opéra national de Bordeaux (Festival Pulsations), Pelléas et Mélisande (Geneviève) with the Fondation Royaumont, Philippe Hersant’s Les Éclairs (Ethel) at the Opéra Comique, The Magic Flute (the Third Lady) at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Wozzeck (Margaret) and Parsifal (the Second Esquire and a Flowermaiden) at the Paris Opera, Marc-Olivier Dupin’s Robert le Cochon (Trashella) at the Opéra Comique, and she also performed Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder with the Luxembourg National Youth Orchestra. Future projects include Mère Marie de l'Incarnation in Dialogues des carmélites at the Opéra national de Bordeaux, Inès in Il Trovatore at the Paris Opera, and the alto part in Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 conducted by Laurence Equilbey in Paris, London and Linz. Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur was named one of the revelations of the 2022 Victoires de la musique classique.

Timothée Varon began singing at the CRD of Pontivy in the class of Agnès Brosset. He soon joined the chorus of Rennes Opera and the vocal ensemble Mélisme(s). He then entered the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon (CNSMDL) in the class of Françoise Pollet and then was taught by Mireille Delunsch. He took part in many master classes and benefited from the guidance of Alain Garichot, Jean-Luc Chaignaud and Daniel Salas.&nbsp;He gave recitals at Rennes Opera in Beethoven's Scottish Songs and in a programme of French melodies at the Lyon Opera. He sang Carmina Burana and Schubert's Stabat Mater with the Vannes Symphony Orchestra. With the CNSMDL opera workshop, he sang the Clock and the Cat in L'Enfant et les sortilèges, roles that he he took back on the stage of the Palais Garnier on January 2020.&nbsp;In 2018, he won the second prize at the Arles competition, as well as the Revelation Prize at the fourth edition of the Raymond Duffaut – Young Talents contest and is awarded Classical Revelation by the ADAMI. During a stage workshop directed by Patrice Caurier and Moshe Leiser at Royaumont Abbey, he sang Belcore in L'Elisir d'amore, Morales in Carmen and the title role of Don Giovanni.&nbsp;For his first season at the Academy, he sang Eisenstein in Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus at the MC93 in Bobigny and then on tour. In August 2019, he played Papageno at the Opera pa Skäret in Sweden. Timothée Varon joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In 2016, Félix Ramos obtained his State Diploma as an accompanist from the Centre d’études supérieures de Musique et de Danse de Poitou-Charentes and a specialization prize from the Conservatory in Versailles. In 2017, he entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in the class of Erika Guiomar. There, he studied melody and Led with Jeff Cohen. Also trained in conducting orchestras by Catherine Simonpietri, Alexandre Piquion and Claire Levacher, he took part in 2019 in the Mozart Residency of the International Festival of Aix-en-Provence. He worked with conductors such as Raphael Pichon, Marco Guidarini and Tito Ceccherini. Particularly interested in the contemporary repertoire, he participated in the production of Macbeth by Pascal Dusapin at Rouen Opera. Félix Ramos joined the Paris Opera Academy in September 2020.
